Just because it looks like a pile of snot!
underneath that rugged exterior is a Oct. 1980 nickel mongoose with mongoose forks!

Post some pics once you've cleaned up the frame & forks.....It will be interesting to see what condition the nickel plating is in.

That thing is rough I am sure it will be a beauty when you get done with it.

If you already have several, just leave it like that and mount it to the wall for a conversation piece.

That is one reason I love this hobby...
only "we" would be able to see the beauty that lies within that pile.
Great save.

Hey Reece, wow another excellent find......are you planning on selling some of the parts or spliting it up? I guess you know I need some forks for that (Ahem) new project bike

As far as the seat post goes, I have a bench vice with a pipe clamp attatchment. Soak it in WD-40 or something to break the rust. Clamp the seat post in the vice and twist the frame. I have also tried to pound the post into the frame a little with a hammer to break the rust so it can move. Good luck with an awesome find.
