If you have pics of cranks that were made within these years can you post pics. I always see redline flights and 400's. What else was out there?

Pic up a few old Bmxa mags for knowledge...takes a little work but might be worth it.

I don't have pics, but I remember a lot of Shimano 600s (600 EX), Dura-Ace, Maxi-cross/Super-Maxi, and Cook Bros. This, of course, in addition to Redlines, Profiles, and lots of one-piece cranks (remember the hollow Thule cranks?) wich were much more prominent back then.

I dig your flat eric.

Anybody heard of sugino AT cranks.???
John P. Kelly
Suntour VX and the Sugino Super Maxy crank were the popular ones around my stompin grounds. They were very similar, if not the same cranks.

No one had the bucks for Shimano or Redline cranks back then. I remember one guys "reutilized" three piece cranks from his brother's road bike.

The Sugino Maxy Cross started showing up in my later years too.

Which cranks would be able to use a power disk like a hutch or a browning setup?
AndyDiamond
Power discs suit one piece cranks or tubular cro-mo cranks like 401s or Profiles.

401s need a shim to use a power disc as the 401 spindle has a smaller diameter.

You can't run one with a 3-piece as the spider is built on to the drive arm.

Ultramax - nice cranks.

His dad was Don Parscale and Don invented the cranks.

His son rode factory Mongoose for a while I think.
