This is what I came up with for parts for this 80 Sing frameset.I found the frame/fork/headset/bars on Ebay from the same seller.I would like to think all these parts have been together since day one. This is what the seller indicated. The headbadge was sitting in a drawer at the Schwinn shop I worked at for years here in Austin. The stickers are a combo of NOS and repro downtubes from R Haney. Most parts came from Ebay. Some I have had since new(the pedals and powerdisc)Some are NOS some are survivors.I tried to stay within the bounds of 1980 but it was tough.I think with maybe the exception of the wheels I stayed within 1982.Someone tell me if Suzue sealed hubs and chrome 7x were around then.I have silver Weinmann rims but no hubs as of yet.I know these would be more appropriate for this bike.Well what do you guys think?

Wonderful build!! The Sting is one of the last great frames I want in my collection. Seeing Ted Karl's at rockford knocked me over, yours is no exception! Well done.

Chrome/red Stings kick grass. Reminds me of the only one in my hometown when I was a kid. I didn't own it, but I sure liked it. Great ride!

Great looking Sting - well done! Chrome looks great on that frame too.

Alright! I've been waiting to see some BMX builds. Freestyle builds are great but they don't capture my interest like these old characters. Nice work!

I was digging through some boxes last night and found something that is a nice touch for the Sting.
A sticker from the shop I worked at from '83 to '90.We sold alot of BMX stuff. The shop is no longer there.Lots of memories represented with that little sticker.
