Can someone post an ad from B&G Racing out of Fla.
They're the company that made The Studd products, adjustable length stems, the quick sprocket change system, etc. I am pretty sure they advertised sometime between 1984 and 1986.

This is all I have, a decal, and it's not even mine. It's a photo of somebody else's decal.

Pat, any "amateur" VBMXER would have known BB Racin'......just kidding!
Tone, You got it! Thanx. But they also had an ad that featured adjustable reach stems. Anyone have that ad? I just scored a Studd Chameleon Pro stem, but it looks different than one I remember in the ad. I'll post pics when I know a little better about the stems.

I would imagine the company was owned by Bill Green=B&G.
He also owned/ran the Kendal, Florida track along with being the manager of the Flying Wheels team back in the early 80's.

Tone, that's the ad! What is the date of the mag that had that ad? The stem I got looks a little more like a DK stem, not rounded. The locking hardware is significantly different as well.
It would just be a guess, but I would think the more squared stem that I have would be older, the locking hardware looks more agressive though. As if they identified some problems and revised. The stems pictured in this ad are remarkably similar to the VG stems of the late 80's early 90's. I wonder if there was a connection???
Anyone else have pics, a stem, or any more info.?
I'd imagine these are probably the rarest of old school stems, more so than ESP or Pro Fit.

Greg,
Would that ad appear during the summer of 1985?

James, summer 1985 is probable on the ad. Though I think the stems were probably available sometime in 1984 through 1986.
