I have a mini that has original finish but has no serial stamping anywhere. When did they start stamping the rear dropout? I've seen them on 81 and newer. Did they stamp them in 80 and before?
Thanks,
Paul

Andy- I thought 81 & 82 were all stamped. I saw TIM's early Gary Turner model, which looks the same, and wondered if they were stamped back then. Here is a pic of the Gary Turner, which happens to be the 07 calendar cover bike!

Frames look the same...small down tube and euro bb.

yeah look the same however yours has the GT forks (Tim's has Tange) and if your decals are original would make it 81+.
I thought the Gary Turner ones had a serial number?

Looks just like my old one from 81 or so.
Cool to see it in such good shape.

I had an 81 that wasn't stamped, but it was a standard frame w/ euro BB.
You should trade me that F/F for my 82 pro F/F.

forman- you found the thread on TIMs Gary Turner, thanks. I see his was stamped. Mine has nothing on the bb.
Andy- The forks are 83 vintage as they have a nora cup sticker on them. I used them to put the bike together. As for the stickers, they might be originals to frame, but they are definitely old. If they are originals, then this is not an 83 as was sold to me.
Brad- I would possibly trade it ... send me a note.
