thanks guys.
i just installed a nos elina seat in blue, blue tuf neck axel bolts and blue valve caps.
you need at least four hands to adjust the brakes.
the bars are robinson.
thanks to all the hooked me up with parts for this bike, you all know who you are.
when i was a kid my dad took me to the lbs to buy a new frame set.i spent at least a hour going back and forth between the patterson and the robinson.i ended up buying the patterson and wishing i had bought the robinson.
now i have both:)

Yeah, that thing is really nice. Excuse my ignorance what is the go with the brake set-up. I see the little weinmann adjuster in the gussett and the centre pull brakes...was this the ticket at one time?

The original owner drilled the frame for the brake set-up.

84profile,you saw this mod on gusseted frames, others ran the cable to the seat clamp and installed the adjuster there so you could use center-pull brakes.this wa done in the late 70's-early 80's
i bet about 50% of the robinson frames out there have a hole drilled in the gussett for this mod.
just a trick mod from bitd.

That is cool...love seeing peoples' mods from back in the day...just don't pimp that thing with 20" spinners!

Nice!
I never saw center pulls on any BMX bike back then. All I saw was Diacompe calipers. I got my Robinson in '84 when the gusset was removed. I do remember being mesmerized by the shinyness of chrome in the looptails and dropouts :-)
I'm working on a mid-school rider, should be done in a few weeks. The frame/fork is a '94. Will have some NOS and some new school parts. I plan on racing it in '07.

Hey Jeff, We talked before you were interested in my robinson but it was not old enough. I am interested in your landing gear forks. Are they unstamped? Please e mail me at jt_3233@yahoo.com
