I picked up this bike over the weekend.

I think I know what it is, but I just want a confirmation.

To me it looks like an 83 Predator Team Alloy/Z. The dropouts indicate 1982, but all the 82 models appear to have head tube gussets. The Team alloy z is the only 83 model that does not have a gusset. It also has a Dia-Compe 900 or 1000 front brake and notice the lever. Mine also has white Sugino GT cranks and a Sugino stem. I used to have one of those 83 cruiser frame and forks and the bike I just picked up just looks like a miniaturized version. Sorry for the crappy pic, but do I sound on target?

my 83 predator looked just like that, but had a gussett though.

I had that 24, ended up changing a lot of the parts and replacing the decals with something else... but always was a good strong bike and very light, Schwinn did a good job on those.

it could be an 82 dated 83 model, looks like you are right. does it have a head badge or a predator sticker?
