Gaa gaa, is this thing ugly?!?!?!?!? Hope no one bids thinking that this "custom built 1979 BMX show bike" is really a Redline... Looks like a Huffy frame to me...
I love the quote "straight out of the pages of BMX Plus from back in the day"... they must have been reading a differnt version of Plus than I was...

lol

They is a bit simple down there on the ol' farm!

Yeah, I wrote her and told her it definitely wasn't a Redline. She wrote back to say that it was a Roadmaster (or Columbia or some other crap brand...), but her husband painted it and put Redline decals on it "because the frames were so similar."

Yeah, like how filet mignon turns into poop after you eat it. So filet and poop are like, pretty much the same thing.
oldschoolcolo
Just have to add abt the wheels that are "a perfect match" yet completely different styles and makes!!
sprinter
Not to mention it's a Radberry "graphite"... Graphite is not Radberry...
proff21
is the golf club bike stand included? classic.
Nighthawk
"from my collection"

somebody actually COLLECTED that thing?

I don't even want to know what else is in that 'collection'... maybe that's a country euphamism for junkpile...

straight out of the pages of BMX Plus - and right into the pages of Scott tissue and the swirly bowl. As one of my friends once said, "you can polish a toid all day long if you want, but I'm still gonna flush it."

waste of a good DK stem...
revcore
The DK stem is the only decent thing on it.
Bike Crazy.
From a distance it sorta looks like my old 79 proline redline. I just want to know where I can get hooked up with some of those T-Chunky pedals? I bet they get a load of cash for that unless the back wheel falls off the dropout first.
BMX2112
I wonder if he's taken it offany sweet jumps??

She bought the decals on the 7th. You can go through her feedback and find where she bought nearly all her parts. Watch out for her though, she has bought a lot of other parts too!
Monster-Robot
But at least the thing has "never been rode on". That has got to be worth something...
proff21
i think she got every shade of purple on the P.O.S! looks like something donny osmond would ride. no offense "D".....
frazer
I noticed that a lot of the parts are "like new but used" Is that like NOS? NBU (New But Used). Or is the contridiction more of a Zen koan?
VW Freak
This is what i asked her lets see what she says

VW Freak
Her reply

The bicycle auction has closed. Was not original redline. Was redline stickers on Roadmaster frame as the 2 frames were basically identical.Thanks.

eeeeegad....

Basically Identical...... What she's trying to say is that she's seen a Redline that was white......................................................once

I've got to say, it may have been a little mean-spirited, but this snarky little thread was one of the funniest things I've read on VBMX. I'm with Fraser--I'm going to start labelling stuff I sell on eBay NBU. Or perhaps "NBRO"--"never been rode on."

BRO Deal?
At the shop I was at, if you got the BRO deal, it wasn't good...
