Hi Gang.. I can't really remember but did Mongoose make candy apple red Kos's?.. and were the bars left chrome? I would like some info help with photos please..

Every catalogue I have Luis has chrome only for both 24 and 26" bikes. Bars are chrome too. Team and Moose models come in Candy red and blue and black for the Moose also.

I paid close attention to KOS cruisers through the early 80s and eventually owned a mint one by the late 80s. Never saw them other than chrome.

They came candy red, candy blue and chromed with either red or blue compnants.
Mongoose SS bars are stainless steel, not chrome plated.

:BridgeCityBikes: Yeah I too have never seen them in red or blue in the flesh! BUT now seeing them on the museum I think Blue would be the colour to go for!! Hmmmm.. I have to decide now which colour red or blue..

Well bugger me. I've never seen a candy Kos before. Now I have. Cool. Why aren't they in the brochures? Special orders maybe?
