I found a guy locally who has a survivor Champ Pro... not too bad, just some dust and a little surface rust. Hutch bars, 180 Flights, XC-II's, Pro Class rims with GT hubs. His asking price is too high for me, but if anyone here is interested then give me a shout. I have no idea what it's worth, but he's asking $600 firm.

Nice bike. If a guy could get it for 400 it wouldnt be too bad.

If those are single-pinch flights, a tuf or pro neck stem, and a D-C MX brake it would probably get 600 on the bay. That's some pretty high-end components all in one package there.
If I weren't already so invested in projects and the holiday shopping I'd jump on it.

If I had the cash I guess I probably would. Bad time of the year. Its a lot to spend when everything would need work. He should part it out.

Id pick it up also, to add to my profile collection. But with the holidays coming, money is already going north. He should part it out, and bay it. I'd really like to know type of seat post clamp that is. I'm attempting to restore a Pro Champ to the exact way it was new back in the day. Already have the frame, forks,Profile 3 piece cranks, and Profile Gyrolite hubs with rims. Need a Profile neck(or a Pro Neck II) ,Profile seat post clamp,Profile seat post, and Profile Pro handle bars for the complete restore.
Tell him he would make well over $600 if he parted it out.

I know it's DK stem. That's all he mentioned about it though. He said he last raced it in 87 and it's been stored ever since.

I don't really understand why people suggest to non vbmx members or (people who aren't interested in bmx anymore) on how to jack up the price on their bikes. These suggestions could potentially prevent a fellow vbmx'er from making a real score. I would probably be interested but wrong time, holidays, other priorities. RL, thanks for sharing a potential score.

Personally, I think that is a steal. Shame, I already have three bikes and I'm in Australia. I'd be jumping all over that if I was state side. Bit of spit and polish it would look a lot like this....

Hmmm a little spooky, that seat clamp you are talking about, is also the same as mine, which are now kinda hard to find....

I dont think I was suggesting a jacked up price. But , he should get what the usual price is for what some of those parts are getting or going for these days. Why should the seller lose out on money for the benifit of somebody getting a real score.

That's a good point. I guess I just feel my loyalty belongs to a fellow vbmx'r before someone unknown to me. Certainly if the guy only wanted $100.00 for the bike and you were interested, you wouldn't tell him, no no no your bike is worth $600.00 so let me pay you $600.00. Or maybe your one in a million people that are that righteous? No offense, just sayin'.

No offense takin GONZO. And you make a great point of our fellow vbmx'rs.
And for me, karma would come in, and I wouldnt buy it for $100, esp if they guy knew nothing about it. I'd be fair and let him know that he could make some money off it. And this is coming from a Pro Champ FREAK. I would also assume that RL would have explained what some of those parts are worth these days.
But thats just me. You still make an excellent point !!!!!

I would buy it for $100 bucks, cause it would cost me about $500 to freight to Australia!!! Then you convert our dollar to the US dollar..It would have cost me over $600 anyway!
Just kidding.....

There's a few people ahead of you in line Jason. The guy really isn't too interested in shipping it at all.... He offered it to me for $600 to avoid the hassle of breaking it down to ship.
