How rare are 26" Pro Class wheels and when were they available?
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

The hard ano 26 inchers are the tough ones to find.

You would be wise to buy them if the price is right.

Here they are, on DX hubs, red nipples and SS spokes. I don't know if I want to keep them or not.

Mongoose put them on their "not so high end" mountain bikes several years ago. I had a nice set and I think I got $100 for them which seemed fair. They are indeed cool.

These are on NOS hubs and haven't been ridden or even mounted since being built.
Any ideas on rim strips for 26 inchers?

They were used from at least `86 through `87, and maybe as early as `84. Tape a couple 20" rim strips together to get the correct length.
