Something I never thought about... are top and bottom clamps the same design? that red one is mint!!!

The bottom clamp is the same but with an indentation for the top of the shaft to clear.

Red,Blue,Gold. Dealer price 24.40 and retail 34.95. That's according to an old dealer catalog. BMX Action October 1979 in an article says red, blue, gold, silver, black, $30. Hardened cast aluminum clamp, hardened chromoly base and shaft. Forward cant of 1 1/16 in. Weight of 1lb 5 1/2 oz. Unconditional guaranty.
