Besides my first bike of course, I was stoked when I got my silver Araya 7C's?(the half moon ones) with all black Bullseye Hubs, chrome spokes with black nipples. At 14 a gift like that was good as it got.

What was your best or most favorite BMX Christmas gift BITD?

1983 CW Racing ZX Pro complete with a parts list I picked out. I rode it at midnight in the freezing cold then came inside and polished it, lol.

A Hutch deep H stem, Hutch headset lock, and a Pro Neck chain ring disk.

The bike these were on was stolen, and I am trying to rebuild that bike now. Unfortunately deep H stems are crazy in price now......

I've posted this before, but for Christmas '83 I got a used chrome Schwinn Sting! I was so happy I actually cried My mom and bro got it for me at a Police auction for only $65! My bro gave me the original receipt a while back
I got a paper route that Spring and bought new wheels and drive train for it within a couple months. I started racing that summer and did good enough in the huge 12 beginner class (about 20 riders) to transfer to Novice. Unfortunately it was stolen that fall... I was heartbroken, but in the end it worked out since I got insurance $ for a new bike. This is my replica of that bike:

Probably a set of blue coaster brake Tuff Wheel II`s. Steel hubs and all. Non BMX would have to be the Tamiya Sand Scorcher and Futaba radio. Those were the days...

Christmas of 83 my parents bought me a JMC cruiser frame and fork. Black frame, chrome fork and I was the happiest kid in town.

Black Tuf Neck. It just made my beat up Cycle Pro a whole lot cooler.

Mike, cool Sting story. Glad to have a replica to remember it all by. Hey, cool Iced Earth poster too!

December, 1982...I opened my Hutch Pro Racer frame and fork. I thought life couldn't get any better. I remember thinking "it's so light!" and I couldn't wait to start racing it instead of (what felt like) my 50-pound Mongoose.
