Darren Chan has a Force frame for sale on ebay with a letter from someone who says the were made by Sbarbaro Enterprises in Hayward Ca. I know this to be at least partially true because Randy Bowser of AFA/Hutch infamy and I were the factory team for them for a short time in 1980/81. I didn't care at that point why, just that someone was paying my way. But from what I do remember I was told that Bob Sbarbaro was making the frames for H&F either directly or through a 3rd party and got burned by them. So, he set out to sell them as Eliminators, he was a hot rod/drag guy. The one with the extra bar was a RB1 and the one without was a RS1. I don't think he sold many and the money dried up pretty quick. I think the general belief has been that Speed Unl. made them. I always just assumed they had 2 manufacturers.
Randy Bowser attempted to sell them as RRP or something like that for a little while after Sbarbaro gave up so I know he still had frames after I left.
Does anyone know the real story? I know for sure that at least some of them were welded in Hayward by a guy in a giant thronelike chair with a joint in his mouth half the time(not Bob, the welder). H&F continued to sell them the next few years so either someone else made them or they patched things up with Sbarbaro.
