I personally find the Z-Mag a better looking wheel and I have found them equal in strength. I would like to know if others have an opinion or if anyone has had a problem with either wheel.

Thanks

In my experience, Tuffs are stronger than Z's. And most of the time, the Z's are not as "true" (has more side to side wobble) than a Tuff 2. Also, the new Tuff 2's have sealed bearings. The Z's have a loose ball hub.
I sold both the Z's, and the Tuffs for awhile, and that is the feedback that I have heard from customers.

The quality of construction and materials in my opinion just doesn't compare. Tuffs just are built better. I always thought the Z-Mags would be stronger due to their double flanged spoke design, but I have no idea if that is true or not. My favorite mag wheel of all I have to admit are Peregrines, loved the look, the suzue components, colors. But now they are associated with 80's whereas Tuffs still look new. Timeless I guess is a good word. I would love to trade out my alex/redline wheels for a set of graphite tuffs but I just cant afford it.

Tuffs are the real deal. I always thought the early ACS was of poor quality. Especially the hubs. Later stuff was fine, but nothing special. Tuffs are still good quality.

+1 Peregrine w/suzue hubs......good stuff

Tuffs are old school personified, made by the same company AND technicians since the beginning. Your Tuffs that you're riding today may have been made by the same people 20 years ago.

There is something undeniably awesome about that.

Tuff II's rule!

I'd have Tuff II's anyday over ACS Zmags...
I've had both but now i only have Skyway's in my collection.... Just my personal preference

i've run into plenty of hub issues with the Z-mags (and ACS-made GT mags) at the shop over the years.
