I was wondering what that little plastic part on the bottom of Mr. Hill 's fork is and what is its race use?

Its pure 80's Radness!!!!

Its probably a rear brakeguard.
Probably to keep competing pedals and shoes out of his way in the tight turns.

It's a brakeguard, covers the front disk. Since there is no disk it just looks moto. Does nothing. Hill and Hutch, there's a forgotten era.

That would be Mike Miranda.

I remember those days !!! I tried to be just like him !!! I even made my own " brake guards" to cove the front lugs !! take a look at this picture that was taken in the mid 80's of my pro racer !!

BTW,, I never knew what they were for either ! I just thought they looked cool at the time, and I probably wanted to think they made me more aerodynamic too !!! LOL !!!

That was my first thought, then I found a story on FatBMX about Hill on Hutch and came up with an image of him on Hutch for a real short time(like weeks not months). Now I'm just confused and too tired to care.

If you compare this pic with the racing sceene today, I 'll have to say that I'm so happy that I was a part of the 80's racing sceene. We were so cool bitd! The JT storm trooper design is of the hook! Damn I wish I had a time machine!
