...could you imagine walking up to a garage sale and seeing that?!?!?! ...I would have messed my pants, had a heart attack, and tried to get it in to the truck as fast as I could.

Score of a lifetime.

If I see one more of these scores I'm gonna hurl. First thing that happens is I see the picture of the bike and I think, man I would kill to own that. Then I see where someone scored it from and only $7.00, that's when the nausea sets in... Great F-ing score dude...If you want to sell it let me know?

That's a collosal score, even without the frameset -- the bars still have a decal on 'em and those oakley's aren't too ragged out... Is that a DX seatpost?

But tell me, how do you get to a $7 pricetag on a yardsale bike. "Ummmm... I don't have all ten bucks with me right now... but I have seven?"

Congrats.
Motor City Mongoose
Yep, DX post. Lh Oakley is much worse than the right, and I think they may be glued on.

I'll be parting it out, so let me know if you want anything before I put it on ebay. Tom (K.I.W.) already has dibs on the brake pads-everything else is still fairgame.

Hubs are sealed Sunshines, hoops are chrome plated alloy Ukai's, black Tuff Neck spider/42T chainring, red Suntour stem, CW bars, nasty Oakley grips, DC levers & calipers, Suntour seatpost clamp. Everything but the grips are in good used condition, but need a good cleaning.

BMX2112
Grail score there by the way!!
joe cool on a Phaze One
You stole that bike!!! Why get rid of a classic!! Keep the damn bike. If you sell it...you'll regret it later!!!!!!! Trust me!!! I've had 3 bikes earlier in my life...now I cant live with myself for doing it. I had 84 Trick Star complete with AeroSpeed cranks, and Mike Dominguez bars...I paid 150.00 for it....sold it for 120.00 so I could buy a Vector MarkII complete with Bob Haro Vector bars, Araya 7X rims laced up to Bullseye hubs, and had the Redline Flights 180. Ended up selling that for 150.00 so I could get a 85 Master which ended up getting stolen and later it was recovered. So my point being...save us alot of grief and drool...keep the VDC

...i know it your bike and you can do anything you want with it... but the fact that you are going to part it out, is a major buzz kill.

...especially since you only paid seven Wendy's jr. bacon cheeseburgers for it.

It's just a bike, I'll get over it. It's not like it's a Mongoose or anything...
Kerry

SWEET SCORE ! $150 is insulting for that and if your going to lowball another member do it through the PM service, it just looks bad !

Anyway you just had a once in a life time score, you should at least consider keeping it.

Last year I scored an 84 Trick Star in DEADMINT shape and I sold it to a close friend. Now I regret it but at least I know who has it and how it will be treated

Trade it for a fleet of Geese?????
Motor City Mongoose
Thanks Jim, but I already have a fleet of Geese!

I could use some yellow Tuffs though.....
Motor City Mongoose
I figured this was easier than sending an individual note to all that have inquired. The first deal is off, so I'm open to offers again. The first guy agreed to a deal, then after almost a week backed out. Not cool. Right now I'm at $850 plus parts, or more cash. I would prefer Mongoose parts, but I am open to all offers. Here's a few pics:

Thanks,
Dave

Trade it for a fleet of yellow tuffs then?LOL!

Dude. Keep that thing. That is an awesome looking combo. And teh story behind how you got it. Sick find.
BMX2112
what is the serial #... that is an 83 or early 84 f&f set I belive because it does not have the headtube cup rings. The ser.# is on the outside left dropout and it should start with a 3.

MY VDC's
Kerry
looks like an 82
