I watched this ad for a Mach One and had some questions about it:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=290041295937
(no offense intended if the buyer/seller are on these boards).

1) Seems like it went pretty cheap. Yeah, it's a little rusted, but not bad
2) Seller states that it's an '85, but I don't think so (I'm still learning) I think it's an '86/'87 (or even later) based on the following:

[*]A) Four holes in the rear dropouts
    B) Top tube slash does not say 4130
    C) Later model stem (not the block)
    D) Later brakes

    [/list]
I have no clue what type of forks those are.

I'm sure the serial number would make it definite, but for somebody still trying to learn the differences, how close/far off am I?

    Thanks

I've got an 1988 that has that same fork, I'm pretty positive it isn't an 85'

The fork on my wife's '89 Interceptor looks the similar. Also has the same hole pattern in the dropouts. Same rear ACS brake too. Stem and seatpost are different though.

Based on the catalogs on AJK's website. It looks like an '88 to me.
