Just finished this Chrome Mag Scrambler. It came from Dallas Turf and Schwinn, and I kept the dealer sticker on the seatpost.

It has:

-NOS Stem
-NOS Decals
-NOS Headbadge
-NOS Kickstand
-NOS BMX Seat
-NOS Hunt Wilde Grips
-NOS Scrambler Handlebar pad
-Fresh Matte Black Handlebars, Chainguard, and Fork
-Rebuilt/Refurbished Skyway Tuff I's
-New Knobby Tires
-Front and Rear Reflectors- these were the hardest parts to get, correct.

That is so awesome... I had one for two weeks, then it got stolen. Your bike really strikes a chord with me.

Wow that looks real hot. Looks like it just rolled out of a bmx showroom, gd job.

I seem to remember putting those together when I worked at a Schwinn shop in the mid to late 70's.

YES!

That bike is classic, right up with the Motomag Mongoose. Very cool.

Awesome! It looks just like my first BMX bike. I'm still searching for a chrome frame like that in mint condition for a replica build of mine. I have all the other parts. Just need that dang frame!

Spistols, if you have ever decide to sell her, let me know. I have stuff to trade.

That is a classic bike, I love it. Those bring back memories.

Great job, 1978? Chromed mild steel with varsity drop outs. Gotta love them frames, I have my first bmx bike replica build to work on, '79 Phantom Mag Scrambler, black with red mags.

Moreyracing-

The chrome Schwinn Scrambler is an August 1978 build.

...already one step ahead of you on my next build.....

Man that bike brings back memories. We couldn't afford the chrome mag Scrambler, so I had a blue version with the spoke(heavy guage) wheels.

Who would have thought the first things we threw in the trash(reflectors and chainguard) would end up as very sought after items?
