Well, it's official, I'm a VBMX nut.

Running around today, I notice a 26" chrome looptail bike locked up to the bike rack and ended up leaving the owner a note to contact me.

My question is (since I couldn't find any obvious markings) is what it could have been. Simple looptail frame, no gussets, fork was straight down, like the Mongoose Californian.

Did Mongoose make a 26" around that time?

I don't have a camera phone, so no pics.

The Mongoose Kos Kruiser is a loop -- good luck!

It's newer than the Kos because there's no headtube gusset. Or, did they make a Kos with the California type frame style?

Check the museum. The Kos has no gusset.
