Simply stunning Lew.
Clearly the best collection of DBs in the southern hemisphere.
I wonder if anyone else in the world has more restored DBs WITH matching rad pads.
Beautiful work mate.

Thanks so much. I have a soft spot for DB .I did have a Turbo but it was incomplete with no cranks bars pedals. This is what I wanted to put together right from the start. All the DB parts were hard to score the seats (not yellow) pedals specially the black 4 years I waited for them and I only got them 6 weeks ago. Rick how does the March of the Diamond Backs sound it would be an honour. Thanks for all the kind words.

dont use the rear brake on the blue one...........it will pop your tire for sure.
whoever rides the blue one must be shorter, the seat is 1.645 inches lower than the others.

Yeah I saw that. The blue team pro is a medium size frame as is the gold the red and black are senior pro size frames. The mediums have a laid back angle on the seat tubes.

That's a super cool collection. That stuff doesn't show up very often in any color, so to have one of each is incredible.

Lewis, I owned a db when I was 13. My oldies bought it off a guy around the corner and it was like new. It was built up very much like your yellow one, only with black parts, including the rad pads. I must have pulled apart and rebuilt that bike a hundred times. I fully loved it.
I felt the most overwelming emotions I have felt looking at your pics, more so than any other bike I have seen, since I owned that db........thanks

Andy getting the exact parts didnt worry me. like different seat post clamps. But with the DB marked parts it sorts itself out I guess. Not easy getting all those.
Like the time I saw a NOS set of black /yellow radpads on ebay I had to go to work, told my lovely wife to bid X amount at X time, she did the X time but not the X amount. it was 2 years later before another set came up.
where from here?? I have sold most of my bits but have kept a few aces 1 RL carrera comin up LOL another long wait.
Kurt.

That really is a time warp collection Lew.
As you know, me and my best mate BITD were both big DB fans. He had an '81, I had an '82.
The DBs for me were like a comet that burnt out too soon - here in OZ it was only 79/80 they first turned up, and then we had a couple of years before the Turbo came along in late '82 early 83 - and after that they were never the same.
Like too many great brands, 1984 and the start of big time Taiwan construction spoilt some great bikes. For me 80's BMX = very early 80's DB Pros.
Thanks for the time travel mate!

Absolutley stunning collection.
As many here, seeing those brings back memories.
I can still remember the first "real" BMX bike I saw which was a chrome with yellow parts DB. It was my first day of middle school. My life was never the same.
Thank you very much!!!

Time flys, but I think from the first DB F/F close to 5 years. some parts I had just about given up like the black MKS DB pedals and the DB TEAM PRO decals (the blue ones) in the end they were redone from original decals that were peeled off and scanned. I have some on the bay for sale. It was a massive thrill to find the black pedals.

You know, it's not unusual around here that somebody posts pictures of a bike after they've put tremendous time and effort into the build, and somebody else....or several others decide they need to steal the spotlight. As if to say,"Look at me! I've got one too!!!".
Your collection, however, is so drop-dead beautiful - that not a single soul has attempted to post another Diamondback. I must say - you absolutely deserve the spotlight. They are just flat-out gorgeous.
