I knew about this Redline for at least 6 years & have been trying to talk the kid into selling it to me. I stated on trying to buy it when he was 13, well finally now that he is 19 and has never done anyhting to it, so we struck a deal. He wanted $35 (I know, I should have bought it for $35 but that was not fair in my eyes.) for it but I felt I should give him a $100 afterall he did throw in the Proiline forks. Did they make a Proline in 78 or were the forks added on later?
The question I have is - he also threw in a bunch of other parts and this painted (spray can) GT. I was wondering what model this GT is and is it a mid school even though it has a break hanger in the rear?
Thak you all - I have been taking a break for a while!

the performer looks like a 89 or 90, if you ever want to sell the rear mag, the chainring, and seat post off that performer, let me know because I could use those.

Hey thats an awesome find. I've been looking for a bike, any bike, for over a year and nothing.
To score a old Redline is awesome. To give him a good deal on it, was really cool of you.

Yes that is one cool find!I want one of those REDLINE frames and have been looking for a couple years .I think that fork is known as the MICROLINE version.Similar to the Pro Line but made for a 4" headtube. If you ever decide to part with the frame drop me a line!I have plenty of trade bait!!!!!!!
