When converting a Sting Ray to BMX duty back in the 70's, what was the most common color to spray bomb it?
I remember seeing ALOT of "Yamaha" yellow frames and black fork rattle can jobs, need to know for a special project.

Thanx

Like this?

This was a 'rattle can' job, but was pretty close to orig. I usually spray bombed my bikes red BITD. I may add Schwinn decals, clearcoat. I may be selling too, if anyone interested? PM, or email me if you are

it's funny, someone gave me a free Stingray project a couple years ago---it too was yellow framed and black painted fork with the same low, pinch crossbars like the above bikes. Mine turned out to be a 1960 frame.

MY First race in 78 was on Schwin Stingray my neighbor sold me. He painted it Red. But It was Flat red, not glossy. With the black Kmart componets kit and black 10 speed seat it looked sweet. Thought it was the best bike around till I went to that first race lol.
