Hey all,
I am currently restoring a 79 MX II. I just got the frame fork and bars back from powder. had them all done candy red and they turned out awesome. I want to install period correct one piece cranks, so what were the hot one piece's that year.

Ashtabula?

That's what I was thinking. I can't recall if chrome takagi's were common by then... I think Ashtabula would look best anyhow...
TIM
Takagi MX in either black or chrome.

Redline used Takagi. the 78 catalog says Takagi and in the pics they are black. in the 80 catalog they show black and chrome depending on specific model.
