Full Version: TUFF WHEEL II with a freecoaster,anyone?

I'm trying to figure out if this is the set up I want to go with.
Has anyone used a Freecoaster on a TUFF,If so, how is it? PICS??? Thanks guys.

no kidding....just put a un-brake and then the freewheel adapter on my set...

I believe they woul have at some point. which hub is this though, if your talking the suntour, then just remove the brake arm as it is no nger needed, remove the break pads, and fit a few washers in there ntil it feels all good. you may need to play with how many spacers and such you use though, as some people like more, and others like very little.
also theres no need for no freewheel adapter, the stadard fix driver should be fine.

an acs freecoaster....its been years since i taken a tuff wheel apart...and the last week i have taken the same one apart 4 times...yea, i am getting older(LOL"s). i ended up putting a bendix unbrake in it-and then adding the jb freewheel adapter...works very well. the unbrake took alot of skipping out of it. what i am trying to say-is that when you stop peddeling, then started-it had alot of play....just me 2 cents..
