I may even dig way down in the deep dark recesses of the "Sodbuster Labs vaults" and dig out a very old piece of 8mm movie film I have. It's footage of some rainy day fun my friends and I had on some bikes! That is if the bulb on the 'ol projector is still good.
Geez I'm so old school I don't even have old films on super8

Hmmmm... that sound very very cool Perry. I may not crack open the vault at all. I don't think my crappy footage could compare.

An excellent time had by all, a few notes.
Many thanks to Brian (Sodbuster and his wife) for putting up with a bunch of grown men talking about days gone by on two wheels or three.
Also Brian was the consumate host, BBQ, food, drink, coffee, etc. (oh and very nice bike collection). It was like being 11 years old again in the bike shop.
Getting to know Reilly, Jason (with his attractive better half), Cash, PK, Tim, Sod, Dave C was good stuff.
The history and stories from Cash, Sod, PK and Dave of the early 70s...great stuff.
Those videos were classic, they both need to be seen by all who are interested in the history of BMX.
The paperwork stash brought by PK was priceless stuff. Finally saw a picture (SE AD print from late 78) of an SE STR-1 sticker on a frame among countless other tidbits. (Even found a few parts that Tim did not have LOL.)
PK, you have a wealth of paper data. If you ever want a hand in organizing it let me know.
Tim did a very nice job on the PK Mongoose. I think detail is his middle name.
Good stories, good people.

I want to thank all you folks that made it on Saturday. It was a great time. "Cash 2 Electric Boogaloo" was a great success. The last time cash came to visit was on a weekday and everyone showed up just after I got home from work. So I was not able to get most of my bikes out of the Vaults for viewing. This time it was different. I got about nine of them down from they’re storage hooks to show off. Cask PK Dave C Tim Rick Curt Jason and lovely lovely Jenny. You all made just another Saturday something very special. Unfortunately my wife Vivian (Mrs.Sod) could not spend the whole day with us because her nephew Larry who is a captain with the Apple valley fire dept suffered 3rd degree burns while responding to a house fire on the 19th so she made her regrets with the guys and went out to Sherman oaks to visit him in the Hospital. He is doing very well and his prognosis is good.
PK and Reiley1 brought some great DVD’s too watch and Perry brought a whole tub of old BMX newspapers magazines and catalogs for us to peruse through so when the BBQ and bench racing was “done with the sun†we moved it inside and kicked it up again. It was a great time Kids and I won’t soon forget it! Now for a couple of pics to wet your appetite I will post more when I get home from work today!
a few bikes on display.
Tim and I talk shop while cash Imagines himself winning the grands!
I think Cash really liked this bike!
I'll post more after work! in the meantime enjoy your day!

What a weekend. Did anyone know that PK is Belgian? I thought he was the "Italian Fish Salesman" or something like that. That is one funny dude!
It was great to see everyone. Sod, thanks for sharing your home and your bikes. It was great to see David Clinton again after a 25 year hiatus! Curt, it was cool meeting you. You have supreme knowledge of the game!
I can't wait till my next trip out.

My racer friend Seth Kramer is Jewish.
I figured Seth, Kramer (Michael Richards) from Seinfeld, and PK
might all be Jewish.
Let the jokes and comments fly.

Ok kids I'm home from work. Now for more pics!
A little something to show Perry. This is just before we put it under wraps. For it's big unveiling.
Hmmmm. Do you think he likes it? It's kind of hard to tell. you know how those "Belgians" are!
When your bench racing it's best to have a bench.
L to R. Dave Clinton Tim Cook and Cash Matthews.
Cash and Rick (Reilley1) and as always Rick is all smiles!
Cash Jenny and Jason (the 26incher / the FMFer) I just call him my little bro.
Stay tuned I have a few more!

Perry breaks out a big box of cool! as Doug Takahashi smiles his approval from the TV screen.
Curt and Cash react to Perry’s admission that he is in fact part Belgian. Jason is too engrossed in the BMX porn he’s reading to notice.

Tim (El Diablo) attempts to work some mojo on Reilley! El Diablo: Luke! Er I mean Reilley! You will never out build me! Search your heart you know it’s true!
Meanwhile Obi-Rick Twomey appears on the TV screen and says: Luke! Er I mean Reilley! Use the force! And remember, the Webco will be with you always.

Well thats all the pics I have. Hey did anyone else remember to take any pics? If so post em up!! I can't say it enough. it was great having you all come over on saturday. can't wait to get together again.

Just want to say thanks Sod for letting me crash the party and to all the guys who showed up. I truly enjoy a break from reality and the trip back to the summer days when the only thing that mattered was BMX.
(Not that it has changed that much... )
