Does anybody know when Quadangles went from sidepull brakes to Canti's???? Also when did they go to threadless forks??? Can you tell the year model on the post Renolds Quad's by the serial #??

most companies went canti and threadless in about 94, canti,s was a bit earlier, not much,.

Ya, SE went Canti's and threadless in 94 or 95. The Quad serial numbers dont mean squat once they changed to the QA serial numbers.

don't know for sure, but i ordered a quad in the winter of '94/95 direct from SE and had to wait a little for it (none were in stock at the time). this one still came with the "pitbull" mount behind the BB (no cantis, 1" headset).

Here's a pic of my Quad just before powder.... It's now white but i'm having trouble posting pics atm

I'd love to know when they stopped the Renold's design and started this????

I remember SE being kinda late on that, it was maybe around 96 when they got the cantis.

Scotty, the Reynolds design was 83, 84, and early 85. The one in your pic was the design they changed to in mid 85. Same time they switched the loop PK to the straight chainstay second gen PK.
