Mr. Clean
I posted this frame a while back and nobody seemed to know what it was. I bought it as a zeronine, so that's what I made it. What do ya think?
zero9pro24
You forgot to put a pic of the whole bike.
Mr. Clean
ok just kidding. Here's the rest of it.
Tony S.
Nice work. Looks great!
Nighthawk
What do I think?

I think I wish I owned that.
rumblerdave

One of those bikes that looks fast just sitting there!
Thumperpilot

BRIAN HAYS
Very nice!! Were the Zeronines made by Cyclecraft? Both the front and rear dropouts look CycleCraftish
djbdb

osrlracer
W O W !!!!!! that is awesome !!!
hetdog22

Randy
There are so many reasons I typically wouldn't like this era as I was done racing by then but this bike kicks ***, big time. The colors and graphics of the 84-86 bikes normally turn me off, but I like this. Sweet photos too.

Well done.
rumblerdave
djbdb- What's wrong with his generic seat?

Would it be better if it said Kashimax on it? What's the difference, besides an inflated price?

A kashimax is an all-together different seat. Those "AERO" seats just scream "generic". I remember them being sold under the "team cycle" brand name, the crap they used to sell at kmart and Venture...
BMX2112
LOL! man thats funny about the seat, BITD I raced with Viscount, Kashi, Areo by Team Cycle, Uni...whatever we could get our hands on. As a kid that built all his own bikes from the frame up and useually had to buy or find all my own parts the name on the seat was the least of my worries. As long as there was one there for my butt who cared. They all broke in the same places and all had the same lack of comfort. Sure Kashi's were a little better quality and are the seats that most represent old school seats. They were still not always the seat sitting on the top of the post.
BMX2112
Oh yeah...nice clean build and great color combo on the Zero-9 Mr. Clean. Looks killer!
Mr. Clean
Thanks for the props guys. I really enjoyed building this one. It was the first all chrome bike i've done. That thing really shines.

Hey djbdb, its funny you mentioned the seat, but didn't say anything about the bars. They are team cycle too. But I got them NOS for 8 bucks, and I couldn't turn that down. I am gonna change the seat and bars eventually, just wanted to get this thing done so I can move on to my next project.

Sweet Build ! Looks like it was well planed and came together well ! Nice and clean ! I would like to ride that thing too. It looks like Zeronine had some good Geo

Randy
wisdom: if your gonna use an aero seat it might as well be a cheap one
old-skull
Awesome bike mang!!! Nice and clean plus you cant go wrong with a 0-9.

AndyDiamond
Nice!

Very tasteful.

I do like those Zeronine graphics.

The bars are cool too - $8?
Deal!

If it ain't a Zeronine frame it could be a Jag?
rumblerdave
Team Cycle Aero or Kashimax- it's still just a hard piece of plastic and two metal rails. Either one will tear your *** up just as bad!!!
Todzilla
That is tight....sweet build
OLDSKOOLPK
Sweet!!!! Love the whole build!!! looks like it just rolled off the assembly plant floor!! nice color combo and part selection... not everyone needs to build a million dollar build with flights and sonlites!!!
Nice grips?!?!?!
so whats next??? I hope i can help on the next build too!!! i promise to send the stuff out faster this time!!!!

Jon
Walter
i knew what that was when i saw the first photo. nice work.

tosborne
Looks great.Appears to be zeronine as they were built by cyclecraft . Some of there old riders are on this site and tell you corectly.
tosborne
Could tell you. oops Might be mistaken but I thought zeronine frame sets did not come out till about 86??
Mr. Clean
that's sweet TONE. you gonna build it up? post pics if you do.
Spur
Andy, the Zeronine is basically a Jag frame with a flat brake bridge and a different headtube, Jags also had a gusset at the head/down tube. Those are the differences. Zeronines ran the Bottemaesque fork as well. This frame Jag/Zeronine/Cyclecraft history are all intertwined. I have heard about 10 differeent versions of how. I just know that this frame was a Jag first. Shameless plug of my own for comparison.

Either way - the rear dropouts are very cool.

Jag released those in 1983 yes?
Spur
83 sounds right
Mr. Clean
hey guys forgot to mention, the forks are NOS redline forks.
Dave Muggleston
Kashimax forever, knock-off never!

(unless the knock-off was original equpment, of course)
STEVENBVEN
As long as you like it. Looks good
diesel
Your bike looks fantastic!

I was looking for a zeronine to build, but could not find one - however in my search I ended up with a Jag 24" to restore.

Again - Nice work - very clean!
bkquill

Really nice ride, it must weigh about 22lbs? The year is right.
Mr. Clean

bmx2112 brings up a real good point - seats were not a real priority item BITD. We ran whatever we could get our hands on. I can only recall one time I hunted around for the lightest seat, when I was trying to get my '80 JMC long standard down to 20 pounds. I ended up going with a Uni Seat for one reason only - weight. I sure did'nt pick it for comfort.
Other than that a seat was just whatever you could come up with to stick on top of your post. You knew you were gonna break it eventually, so why spend a bunch of money on it? All your seat was for was something to leverage against w/ your leg in the corners - even if you had to tie your sweaty t-shirt around it to get your sore butt home after a day out jumping or whatever.
