Well I picked up a decent 1983 SUPERGOOSE and it had the fork shown in the pics above on it.They are marked
TANGE
MADE IN JAPAN 5A
Have oval shaped legs similar to TRX but don't have the typical flat spots on the front and back of the legs.
I am guessing they are from 1985 by the markings but that is all I know?Anybody have any ides?
Thanks!Jim

NAPSTER OF PORN!!!! LOL
Some interesting hosting site!
Back on topic, that's an interesting looking dropout there, looks almost like I've seen it somewhere but I can't remember on what. Decent welds, and it's probably chromoly anyway, so it's a nice find.

yeah very interesting, it sort reminds me of a team mongoose fork dropout styling, but also reminds me of diamback, using that triangle i don't no why but it keeps poping into my head, hehe, very strange in a way. somebody must know what these are. hmm rare custom prototypes that never took off? lol

No pics, but it was one of those Japanese jobs made with the chrome moly "Aero" tubing---had a very aero down tube (very tight edges, almost sharp!) and oval top tube, I think. A friend of mine had one BITD. Similar frames were made under different labels, I think. This one had neat graphics and a riveted on headtube badge. I think the forks on it were similar to those, being Tange it would make sense, Tange maybe even made the frames---but that I'm not sure about.

The dropouts on the DB fork shown look like they go up higher on the fork leg?Hard to tell from that pic.....Also those cutouts are actually diamond shaped......

yeah, but it shows why i probably kept having my mind bring back diamdback, and that's why the other guy probably was thinking diamdback but couldn't figure out why.
