Well I decided to take a ride to the old ocala I had posted some pictures up here awhile ago of what was left of it. Well I pulled the car to the road that it was down today and I noticed right away some bad signs. I saw survey tape which is usually not good (surveyed for a few years). As I got closer with the car I noticed that alot of clearing had been done already and that many trees were on tap to get cut down. I took the walk down the path to the track and as my daughter and I broke through the tall weeds. I hate to say it but there is now a giant drainage retention area. Nothing is left nothing! Another track is gone. Sorry for this bit of news.

I raced that track back in the NPSA days. Nothing like racing with trains and a big up hill out of the hole after the finish. I fell down into the revine via turn three too! Some good memories there of the state races back in the day. Good banquets out at that yankee hotel too.
