Looking at getting this Mini Ripper for my son. A really cool member here on the site is hooking me up with it. Not sure of the exact year of the frame, 88'-89' I think. USA made though.
My question is this. He has two different pair of LG forks that are 1" threadless that will fit the bike.
Mini LG's and LG Lites. Here is one pair and I will have a pic of the others tonight. What is the correct USA made LG fork for this frame? Please post a pic of them if you can. Thanks for the help.

I looked at this bike and almost bought it! At least I think it's the same one! It is a 95-98, USA made Mini Ripper. The serial number should be on the drive side drop out and start with MR and then a series of numbers. The forks that are on it are the correct ones for the mini ripper frame. If the serial number start with RP then its not a mini and the other forks are correct. It really doesn't matter which forks you use, they will both work. If you are interested in getting rid of the forks you don't use, please let me know, I'm looking for a set of either for a build I have! Thanx!!

The owner is saying that one pair is US made and the other is Tiawan made. He is also saying that the other forks are the correct ones for it, not these.
I will put you in contact with him once I decide on the pair I want. I am only getting one pair so you can work out a deal for the other once I've figured out what pair is correct. I will find out the serial # and go from there. I will post late tonight.

Mid/late 90s Slayer...canti mounts, see? Sweet frame though, makes wish I was a kid again just to fit on one, lol.

Sorry, I meant to say 98'-99'. Before they started making them overseas.
PK Ripped, you have any idea on the forks?

LG Lites came with my Ripper Junior I'm building for my daughter. I would assume the LG Mini forks are for that mini frame?

Here is the other pair of forks. Frame serial is #MR 0289 I believe. So what fork do you think I should go with on this frame? I am leaning toward the LG Lites that look more like a normal pair of LG's. The Mini's have that .......well, mini look. The owner does think the mini's were made overseas, so that kind of turns me off on them. Any opinions?

Question.......How come Rick's late 90's Mini Ripper has a floval top tube and Slayer's late 90's Mini Ripper has a round top tube?????
BRIAN HAYS
PK Ripped answered the question. The blue one is a mini with a round tube and the polished one is a jr. with a floval tube. I didn't realize there was both a mini Ripper and a JR Ripper in the late 90's.
