Do they all have serial numbers stamped on one end or was that specific to a particular year? Thanks!

no s/n on bars no knurling no kidding.....
skinny cross bar early had more curv than later model with sharp bend......

Are you sure? I'm no Hutch expert but I picked up an original windstyler with all parts original, and I find it hard to believe the bars aren't hutch. In addition the s/n format is similar to the frames s/n's. Thanks for the feedback! I guess I'll have to take some better pics of the bars with exact measurements to see if anyone can tell me what they are.

Jerry is refering to the classic (best bars ever IMHO) early Hutch bars...narrow diameter cross bar, smooth curves, no knurling. No telling what came on the overseas made Windstyler.

Big difference between the early 80s bars with the smaller diameter crossbar and the 83-86 era bars is that the early bars were made by VDC in California until Hutch moved production in-house.

the ones with stampings on the end are overseas-made. you'd occasionally find them as aftermarket, but were mainly used on the japanese imported complete bikes circa '85/86.
