Did skyway ever make a tuffwheel that had 6 spokes? Heres an ebay auction for a set of wheels, the front is a tuff wheel but im not sure about the rear.

The 6 spoke Skyway mags were OEM.Notice the tabs-they are for reflectors.Manufacturers are required to put reflectors on complete bike's wheels. The Diamond Back Cool Streak comes to mind.

Ah I see. Any differences in quality or materials?

Generally not considered collectable, same design was/is used for yard carts, wagons and such. Maybe if Skyway/ColoredTuff.com reissued them in every color in the rainbow they might catch on

I never cared much for the 6 spoke look, but they seem to be a good wheel...
I saw a set of oe 5 spoke Tuffs on the bay a couple of weeks ago, thats the 1st I've ever seen them...5 "H-spokes", what was the deal w/ these ?

those 5-H-spokers are the "UT" wheels (utility).

I have a set on the '87 Haro FSX my friend found on his construction site and gave to me. They apparently came stock on the FSX. Mine looked worse than those did, at first, but after a few hours of scrubbing and cleaning they look damn good.

Does anybody think those are worth what I just paid for them?

would you believe in 1990 I swapped these for a set of mint motomags I had. The weight was a killer, so off they went. Another major regret of my life.

Never trust your highschool judgement. A lesson we've all learned.

I had a set on my '85 Diamnond Back Hotstreak (yeah, the one with the funky frame and fork stands). The wheels were okay. I had one crack and Skyway replaced it no problem / questions asked. I liked them.

I was never really a big fan either, but I still took the time to hunt down a NOS set for my OE 1985 Dyno Compe build.
