Stu, you are in my prayers, I have looked up to you for a very long time (1st through the pages of the mighty BMXA then at the races) and you were one of the very best, if not the best Pro to represent our sport.
I have been affected by cancer a lot this year, having lost some people very close to me.
I have to have that checked out my next Doc appointment as I'm at that age now too .
My favorite BMX pic ever!!

I was bummed to hear of your cancer.... if anyone can beat this, you can! The mind is a powerful muscle ... god knows, you've got muscle... Keep the faith and positive thoughts... pretend I'm in front of you over the last jump whipping a "Crews" and ****ing you off... I know it didn't happen many times but this could be the one that counts! Get mad and WIN!
My family is pulling for you ... YOU CAN DO THIS!

Wow ...
All I can think about is the whoopin' that Stu is going to dole out on all the whipper-snappers in AA after he comes back ... worked pretty doggone well for that Lance character. I can imagine the headline in 2012 ... BMX dominated by Retired Sheriff's Deputy !!!
I'm afraid there will be many troubled days ahead, Stu ... that's the story of cancer ... but, REMISSION is highly achievable ... so, just keep faith in yourself ... never ride the highs too high ... and try not to let the lows knock you down.
Truly, my best wishes ... and I hope you will keep us updated.

Stu, I know we have never met, but I am one of your biggest fans!! I even rooted for you over D.D. Leone, and Greg Hill when you guys came down to Baton Rouge, Louisana in the 80's to the Captol Scwinn Cyclery Superbowl of BMX. I was there that day, and watched all of you guys battle...I was probably around 15 at the time...Anyway...I will keep my prayers going for you!! You were an inspiration to me then, and Now with your new Battle, you can be an inspiration to all of the millions of people who battle cancer every day!! I personally see it all of the time unfortunately, I sell cancer insurance policies!! Its amazing, folks never think it will happen, but Cancer plays no favorites, it strikes without warning!! I know you will make it through with Flying colors!! Good luck, and remember, you will always be a legend!! Thanks for all of the wonderful memories on the track!! Jason

All the best Stu. PC has no chance with you. My Dad beat it a few years back and he's doing great.
I hope this helps other to get checked. It's something us men just don't want to think about.
Prayers are with you.

Stu,
I am 31 years old and last year I had what's called a retropubic radical prostectomy. A few months later I had a total thyroidectomy.
In the same year I got my first NAG plate after 20 years of racing.
Cancer just didn't have what it takes to bring it. I have taken a small break from BMX only to powerlift competitively.
Attitude is everything...but you already know that.
Good luck and prevail!

Hope all is well Stu!
My Father-in-law just went through that procedure 2 weeeks ago. He's doing well and the Dr. said that the biopsy came back and it seems that they got it all.
I lost my Father to cancer 13 years ago so yeah, it's on my mind often.
Fight the good fight my friend and trust in the Lord always.

My Hero, it can't be! I am surprised that cancer would even bother. It must not know who it is dealing with. "I know You'll just stomp it"
Good Luck and great health always. Looking forward to seeing you on a Redline, again.

Friends,
Sorry for no update till tonight. The surgery was textbook, no complications. The first few days I was in a lot of pain. I was on my feet and walking around the day after surgery and discharged from the hospital after only one night’s stay. My stomach feels like I just did a million sit-ups with someone smacking me with a 2x4 in the stomach every other rep. I want to thank those who posted wishing me well. Your caring thoughts and prayers brought tears to my eyes.
If any of you have had the chance to log into the prostate cancer web sight you’ll understand some of the hurdles I have to overcome. But I know everything will be fine because I have faith in God and friends like you.
Stu,

A real eye opener, we're only two days apart in age. Doesn't seem all that long ago that we were banging MTB bars at Hulda Crooks, and Summit, but it was...
