I was wondering when the different models first came out. Most specifically I was wondering when the MX3 with the colored strip came out.

mx3 came out early 80s (1 or 2) if i remember right - 82 had the 125 - by 83 they had the mx4sl (looked like the 125 but was steel and had rubber washer rings grooved in the crowns to seal out dirt) and mx5 (mx3 looking but made of alloy with 2 machined race stripes around the cups instead of color stripes)

may have actually been 80 for the mx3 - they had a long run -- the mx2 was a 78-9-80 run too and before that the mx600 (which i actually believe to be the best they offered, the rest were just new and improved fluff) was mid 70s

MX2 seems to have been around forever, with the upgrade to the 'Bear Trap'.
How about the Falcon?
PS: I have a NOS but incomplete Falcon for sale
The MX5:

Funny, you guys are talking about MX 125's I have just been in contact with the Tange factory in Japan regarding the possibility of left over decals for these...Appearently they checked the factory....and surprise, surprise....nothing..The search continues....I was corresponding to Mr Sato Tange...or Mr Tange if you like!

i can't remember a 125 coming stock on anything - outside the HUTCH PS but they were supposely chrome plated and that wasn't a model offered outside that set up - they were considered a upgrade accessory .... but someone with more Kuwie knowledge may know for sure - oh wait they did come stock on 83 Raleigh rs/fs 7000 series (of all things to come on it was a Raleigh - heh)
