Chech out this Schwinn cruiser I picked up. 26" gold UKAI's, gold V-bars, gold dia-comp brakes. seems this thing had some bmx influence. also set up as a 10 speed, interesting... anyone know about this sort of thing? did they come like this? [/img]

just realized I spelled "swap" wrong. I am an idiot.lol
obviously I have cleaned it up a bit and replaced all cables. this thing rides sweet I really like it. the brakes stop on a dime with kool stop pads and linear brake cables, it could probably do an endo!

What year is it? I wonder if it was made before or after my Sidewinder, which was an 82.
kcmobmx
I do not know but I think pre 79.
bullyhotrod86jh
is that a cook bros slant stem?
ELF_DUDE
I had a schwin cruiser like that but mine was a 24 inch frame single speed and was a 1947

What's the serial number? I can tell you the year, if you have the serial number!
ol'phart
serial number - the first letter is the month following number would be the year

cool find - give it too you girlie - most of'em just wanna be comfie, so if you want her to share in your riding habit, its a good way to get them interested - building them cruisers with not so cushy seats can easily put them off and lose interest quick

that stem just looks like and overseas cheapie slant - but I'm sure it serves its purpose well on a beater
that looks late 70's early 80'sish - by the color

Dr.Frankenripper that was the plan exactly to give it to my girlie. she loves it! I think it is a 79 but I haven't checked the serial yet.
