Hi, I have purchased a kashimax mx seat of ebay. Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me about the heritage of the Kashimax Mx with the holes down the sides of the seat as opposed to the MX seat which just the holes in the top of the seat? Are they a different age? Or are the ones with the holes in the side a different model? Whats the go? Thanks for any information.

I have one with the holes down the side that was stock on a 81 kuwahara KZ-1. Don't know if any of that info helps

Was told the ones wth holes by the sides are the earlier model. Correct me if Im wrong.

I guess it comes down to looking at the pictures in the BMXA's/Plus's from the year you are building. Can't go wrong that way.

Thanks for the info, I was just curious...not going to lose sleep over it though..the one 1 have, that has the holes down the side with just the Kashimax script....

I think I can remember getting the one with the holes down the side after having one without them. Was it a blue one you just picked up? I forgot about bidding and missed it.

Actually another one is listed. Kashimax MX

earliest ones had no holes and Kashimax MX logo (late 70s to about 80)

later ones came with the holes and lost the MX text (80/1 to 83/4)
