Full Version: OK, It's a Redline....but which Redline??

Scored a complete Redline today. The major selling points (besides the F/F) were the black and red Brute stem (amazing condition) and Black Ukai shiny sides with black Suzue hubs. Oh yeah, black MX1000 and tech 3 lever.

Ok, back to the bike. I have an MXII and a 600a (102b, 500a). The frame has the same top tube measurement as my 600a and has a gusset behind the seat tube like my 600a, but the forks have holes drilled in them, instead of the end caps, and the headtube decal looks like a Proline or PL-20 (I think??). Help, please......pics are below.

Headtube decal appears to be original (Proline, PL-20???)

Look at the bottom of the forks in the pic below

RC serial number....'83, right??

Thanks so much. Any idea where I can find those decals??

I'm afraid not - To be honest I havn't even taken the wrapping off, so I don't actually know what they look like complete?

The closest match would be PL20 decals available from bmxstop.com

However they will need some cutting to get them to fit properly as they made a right balls up of them.

I do know that they will be quite happy to sell you decals without telling you they don't actually fit!

Hope that helps a little

....... I guess that all sounds a little negative .........

However if you get a sharp scapel, a good steel ruler and a good cutting mat, with a little patience and a couple of hours free. You can actually make their decals fit quite well.

Awesome find. Whole bike and all.

Diesel, that 600b decal is sweet. Don't remember ever seeing that.

Werent the 600bs released only in Asia? Cause I still see them in the Singapore heartlands.

the frame is also comonly known as the ST20 the decal on the seat post tube would confirm this. The decals are very hard to find which is a shame as in my opinion when coupled with the original grey black pads it is one of the best looking redlines.

I'll get round to unwrapping it and photographing it properly in the near future.

However if any one has a frame for this I would be very, very, very interested in hearing from you......

Yasser: it came from the east so that would confirm your theory, it also has the Redline Japan decal on.

Doh! That sould have read:

However if any one has a 'Frame Pad' for this I would be very, very, very interested in hearing from you......
