Who would be into it? Meet at one location and ride in a pack like we used to..at least like we used to in the 70's, maybe once a month. Just a bunch of old dudes on kids bikes riding the paths on the beach. I live in Playa Del Rey so I'm thinking maybe that general area, seems like there would be enough guys, I know JU is near me, locations can change but gotta be around a half hour before sunset. Don't care what ya ride but don't bring out your best ride, just a rider. Maybe some old BMX guys would be into it, just to see the reactions on some peoples faces would be worth it. But remember, don't try stuff ya did 20-30 yrs ago, most have to work on Monday.

I ride my Champ just about every night around sunset, just a cool way to see the day off and just chill.

Need some parts and I was going to call some of you guys and see what you might have for sale...
Stem, pedals, brake setup etc.
So, yeah, I'm into a ride!

Hey Jeff what do you need?? I am local and I might have a thing or two laying around.
If it is really the list you noted?
or I could loan you my wifes 24 race cruiser for a ride or two. It is a Schwinn Superstock 24 mid 90s with a lot of high end parts of that period. Rides very solid, geometry similar to my XL24.

Spike,
I will aim for about 7:00pm. Are you thinking big group or ?, not that it matters much.
As a side note the I have been swimming a fair amount in the bay, early evening. Water is about 70. Could be an alternate plan...Hmmmm

No we would never rub it in....
It sucks riding your bike along the beach... with the sun setting, warm breeze in your face...Just awful.
And someone has got to tell those girls on the bike path to put a few more clothes on cause they might catch something.
See you on Sunday...

6 people(me included) showed up for the ride, Curt, Jason(26incher), Kevin and his girl and an English guy, sorry, I forgot the name, I wanna say Adam or Nate, he was the only other guy on a 20 incher. Anyway, it was pretty cool. I think Jason is gonna set up next months ride in his A.O.(area of operations). Thanks to all that went, it was cool ridin' with ya.

Very jealous. When I was holidaying a few years back and staying at Hermosa Beach I hired a bike and road up to Santa Monica and back. A very easy ride with some great sites along the way.

Spike,
Thanks for setting up that ride! It was good to ride with like minded people, all of whom were very cool.
Look forward to the next one.
