"What would you do?"

Email the seller.

File a dispute with eBay.

File a dispute with Paypal.

File a complaint with the seller's local P.D.

Pop open another Corona, watch yer girlfriend tanning her assets
by the pool, and decide collecting old bike parts is dumb anyway.

Ask moderators of all bmx websites to cancel your memberships because you got no support.

Wait another couple days for parts to arrive, since 4 days isn't really that long since the auction ended.

Be sure to say "No thanks" when declining all future sales offers so as not to offend fellow members.

Ship the crap in a timely manner in the future.

Pay for the crap in a timely manner in the future.

Describe crap parts as "crap parts" in the future.

Describe mint parts as "mint parts" in the future.

Stop calling used parts "NOS".

Stop calling reproduction parts "NOS".

Stop lumping all the Brits into one basket.

Stop lumping all the Aussies into one basket.

Stop lumping all the SoCal guys into one basket.

Ask your wife, girlfriend, bro, mom or trannie neighbor to slap you next time you start whining about an eBay auction.

Learn the rules of eBay.

Follow the rules of eBay.

Buy some eBay stock.

Pick any combination of choices.

I think the "Open a Corona...." idea is a pretty good deal. Breasts over bikes.........no brainer, if ya have a chick that's that hot ya shouldn't be messin' with kids bikes anyway. I think ya got it pretty well covered with this topic. Nice one Tim.

you know whats funny about that list .......and added comment

the fact there isn't any mention of lumping east coast guys or Minnesota guys or Florida guys or the guys from Singapore or the guys from France or the ..... I think you get my gist

see, thing there is, "ALLOT" of the guys from the said locations are unfortunately dirty which unfortunately reflects bad on they're fellow compadres - sure theres a few good eggs in the PILES of ROTTED ONES -- but for the most part instead of calling them out or sticking to the honor of what is correct -- most just turn the other cheek and let things be, no repremands or disassociating themselves by making them atest to whats legit ... digusting really

and you wonder WHY the singling out or lumping together happens ....

I think that one should be expanded to include sellers/buyers that have demonstrated that they can't be trusted due to their dealings with other people here on the forum. I'm fairly new here, but just by osmosis I think I have a pretty good idea of which individuals not to deal with here on the forum, even if they have never burnt me personally.

If there are multiple threads about someone that never makes good on their dealings, and is painfully slow to ship when they actually do follow thru.............then shame on me if I buy something from them after all of that and then scream about it when they do the same thing to me. Even if everything that has been said about them is not true...........where there is smoke there is fire.

DISCLAIMER: I am not talking about, or making reference to, any particular individual. Any resemblence to any specific VBMX member, living, dead, or un-dead is purely unintentional.
ol'phart
BRAVO ! --- good for you Tifo --- your one up on the many that seem to not have an ounce of common sense

sorry but I don't need to experience for myself, what my respectable peers have lived through, just for the sake of personal encounter (please note I said "RESPECTABLE PEERS", not just any yahoo saying such and such isn't cool) ---- not for nothing ---- but I never considered myself anymore special then the next guy, so what would make me think I couldn't succumb to the same pitfalls .... I'd rather limit the possiblity and simply avoid it all together ..... how's the saying go "better safe, then just another stupid idiot statistic" or something like that

JUST SAYIN' ................. (REAL LOUD LIKE)

I'm not in this to "fight the good fight"
I collect and enjoy old school BMX, I buy and sell on ebay, I have a 100% feedback rating and what other people do or dont do in my country doesnt affect me or my collection. If you "pigeon hole" me or not, so be it. Life goes on.

seems pretty selffish to me .... a sentiment shared by more the one of your own - guess thats okay then too, huh ? nice you care nothing about the countless others that may feel the need to address a sincere desire to collect items of our delicate and GENUINE past in the future --- seems to me you have no concern for anyone outside yourself

As for ruining the "value" of mine, I couldn't care less. I don't ever plan on selling them anyway. And seeing as there are no others down here, nobody else has to worry about it.

Are you still going on about repops.

Why so much energy on the negative. Ive said it before why waste time talking about the one bad ebay experience when you should be happy for the 99 that go perfectly......

Darren Chan rocks, Brian Hays rocks, Subwax rocks, Kastanman rocks, Bill, Hal & Rick rock, Yassar rocks, as do many other iternational guys ive dealt with. As do majority of the the Aussie guys rock. The majority of USA guys rock big time.

There are two in my book that dont cos 4 months later and no goods sux.

BUT i will not name them here just cos im havin a problem with them.

Lets get back to BMX not business deals. This is my hobby, not my daily grind.

heres some recent builds of mine

this isn't about bars or forks .... its about morals (lack there of)

basically its like saying --- hey theres a robbery (mugging) going on right there --- ain't my issue, so be it --- oh theres a women being psychically or abused or molested - ain't my girl or sister or mom, so it ain't effecting me

what I'm strugglin' to have you realize is --- though it may not effect you directly eventually it can or can effect someone you know and/or respect in the long run

its not just about bike parts - it speaks volumes about the type of person your dealing with or shouldn't

also waza --- you can having blank amount of whatever isn't what this is about either , what if the time you did spend in your quest and achievments were for not --- what if I told you half the stuff you show is bogus -- those RL V ain't real RL Vs or all your goose forks ain't (generalizations and don't commend a response) and you only find out later --- how would you feel ?

this hobby is our daily grind and as you state your living it (2 problems) well let them go and they shall multiple like toads - if someone doesn't make an effort to correct the issue, the issue grows

as for the name game I can play as well - Pete Cooper is a great guy - Serva is a great guy - Giles is a great guy - etc .... its seems you through it to the national or international catergory ---- Hell I'm weary of anything coming from Cali, unless its someone I know on a more personal level and I respect - WHY ? - cause for the most part there has been too much deception and bad dealings coming from people that know how to cover issues or people connected to such .... so sorry but its how it is
waza007
Dr.Frankenripper

I do understand perfectly what you are saying and i will always do my best to help anyone new or old to know the difference between repos and genuine.

We have all been bitten by something that is not what seems either by ignorance or by deception. Whilst it hurts, my personal opinion is to analyze the situation and learn why and how it happened so i can not have it happen again. IE: learn all i can about how to tell real goose bars from repops (yes even repops that are made to look like genuine ones by unscrupulous people)

Yes i get asked daily to ID bikes or parts and i offer my advice freely to anyone that asks. I hope that in some small way i can do my part to help future generations be able to tell genuine from repop.

Oh I'll also tell my grandkids about them

Once upon a time there was a talented welder and some mongoose bars .........LOL...... doesnt matter!!!

Dr.Frankenripper.... rock on

thats cool waza - and I hope by no means did you take my responses as a combat against you -- i think your aces as well -- same for Quick, I've never had anything against either, just sometimes Quick steps on his own words and he comes across as wishy-washy and makes me question his integrity .... this wasn't about the whole repro issue or whatever - it was a reflection on why its so easy to categorize some as opposed to others - in reflection the the initial list of this thread

I don't wish to cast people in groups - but you can see where the lumping stems from - was all
