First off I have two gt experts 81,83,they both have the small down tubes, tonight on ebay I see this frame it looks like a pro size from the pics but its a expert the only strange thing about it is that it has the same size down tube as the top tube,, did GT make two differnt experts for 83 ,,or it could be a junior!!!!the e-bay listing is 140012500726 sorry but I still cant figure the url thing,,

forman- my understanding is that the small down tube bikes are Mini models. I have an 83 mini and expert (or some call it standard). The differences are that the expert frame has a similar size downtube and the rear end is about 1.5 inches longer. Top tubes on both bikes are 17 inches. Overall, when next to each other, the expert wheelbase is just slightly longer than the mini and the mini's top tube is just slightly lower on the seat mast. That's how these two of mine compare anyway.
My old Pro frame looked like the expert, except for the longer TT. Paul
