Hello Denver!

I have an old BMX bud living in Denver, who needs to get out of the house and air out a bit. He's been very busy with family and a new job, and money may be a bit tight.

I'm building him a new ride now, that he does not know about, but if you're in the area and willing to get out and ride in early to mid August, please chime in here, or send me an email or PM. I'd love to send out the bike with contact information for those of you guys who still ride, and see if I can hook you all up.

By the way, he's getting a Kappa K-20 with new school graphite tuffs, GHP bars and a Retro BMX stem. I think it's enough candy to get him out to ride.

Thanks in advance, Kit Nickel

I had no idea that Denver has such a small population.

Hey Tanker Kranker, My bro lives in Highlands Ranch! Maybe it'll be a group ride. He needs a bmx though as I have his Hollywood in pieces in my basement.

Not small, but the words "ride" and "bike" in the same sentence confuse most of the Denver area computer-BMXers.

Have him contact me, I have several Vintage rides to choose from as loaners.

James Frederick Brown of Denver, Colorado...
Former BMX stud from Bay Village, Ohio...
First person I know of that actually rode off a 6' truck loading dock...
Only person I know that duplicated Mike Buff's rooftop drop (without breaking anything)...
One of the few that could outrace a moped on a single-speed bike...
Great and lifelong friend...
And now top-notch husband and father...

If you would only listen to me and visit VintageBMX.com, you would see the bicycle that is headed out to you later this week.

Special thanks to all the guys here that helped out with parts for this fine ride; Paul Smith, Ed Ferri and David Wray most importantly. It's harder to actually pack this and put it in UPS than I thought it was going to be. Denver guys, please make sure that this bike hits the street sometime soon. Jim Brown is a top-notch guy.
