Ok guys, i don't have any pix yet but i came across a bike at the local track that one of the neighborhood kids is looking to get rid of. The kid's dad swears the frame and fork are both Peddlepower, but, i think it's a Cook Bros. Everything about the frame and fork looks Cooks to me. My question is, is there any chance that a very early Peddlepower could be confused with a late 70's Cook's? I've searched on here and even Google and anything i find that looks like it are 77-78 Cooks frames. Any help would be appreciated since i'm getting the bike from them tomorrow night in exchange for my daughter's old race ride.

The early Peddlepower frames I remember have a hole in the gusset similar to Cook Bros. But, weren't Cooks loop tail and Peddlepowers not?

It is definitely a looptail. Oh well, i guess i'll find out for sure after i get it and get some pix posted up on here for all the experts to talk it over.

CBR's had machined BB's and headtubes. I don't think Peddlepowe'rs did.

The Pedal Power will not have a loop nor the gusset. Smaller tubing on both of the bikes. The Pedal Power will have a square brake bridge the Cook will not..

Ok guys, got it home and after lookin at those pix i now know for sure it's a Cooks. I was pretty sure it was all along. Looks like a Cooks f&f, Hutch freestyle stem, Haro bars, ashtabula cranks and that's all i can remember for now. Stoked about this find.

Serial# 808. Just noticed it has a Phil Wood spider on it too. ACS sealed hubs laced into Femco hoops.
