Picked this up for the parts and just wondering what the frame is. Forks are imitation TRX with Spinner stamped on the steerer tube. Frame top tube is 18.5", not real heavy but not light either. Some welds like the head tube are good and others aren't. Almost like more than one person put it together. Dropouts are 4mm thick which is unusual considering the other geometry. Down tube is aero tubing but the decals are the only Skyway thing about it. Serial on the BB is DS60717209. Sticker on the seat tube says CMX 4130 True Temper Chomemoly Tubing USA

Awww man, what a waste of a real True Temper sticker!!!! Sorry, I don't know what it is.

Looks like some kind of later Tange product maybe.

All the stickers are Skyway even the seat tube one. dropouts looks very Taiwan to me.

sorry i cant post pictures or even properly configure a url at the moment as my pop up blocker is freaking out but i have a F/F that is almost identical and still has a couple of original stickers on it, i have no clue what it is and have been wondering for a while if anyone wants to see it you will have to click on the url or copy and past this url into your address bar

Sorry for the inconvieniance ill get my browser sorted out soon.
Might be worth a look at my F/F as it could help trigger some distant memory and help identify the two f/f

Jarvi:
I got 2 of those frames, still dunno what they are.

The closest frame i can match it's features too, are the "Silverton Aero" which is a very aero (teardrop) tubing frame.....

I can only imagine these are junk, and an attempt to replicate the popular skyway/jmc/aero style pro frames ;-)

They also have many features of the "Boomerang" shocker bike, also an aero tubed frame/forkset.....also junk ;-)

Marty.

Marty i was thinkiing a silverton also, i use to have a pic of one that someone posted, but the drop outs are different on the silverton they had the much more generic Taiwanese style drop outs that were quite a bit smaller.

don't know what it is, but may be able to put an approx date on it. having worked in bike shops forever and writing down a million serial numbers, i'd say that "DS6..." serial makes it built in 1986. taiwan, for sure.

I am guessing an mt silverfox. I am building a bike for my daughter that has the tear shaped dropouts like these. It also has real nice welds in some spots and messy ones in others. The forks have spot welds and look like these but with tear shaped drops. I came accross this ad on here and it shows it to be a silverfox. Kind of like a redline/ skyway / hybrid ripoff. http://www.vintagebmx.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...t=021837#000000

Thanks guys. Didn't really expect it to be some fantastic long lost frame. Was just interested to know.

Definately a Silverton Aero. I used to own the same frame about 10 years ago. From memory my one had black Silverton stickers on it.
