were gt and robinson affiliated in the early days??i am thinking not until 89 or something??just having a bmx discussion and figured ask the experts.these 2 ride completly different,i am more comfortable on the gt but the robinson seems to turn a little faster and feels a little taller in the bb area... great bikes i love them ......

According to 23mag GT bought Robinson (or something similar) in 1987.

Off the top of my head, Robinson was made by a few different frame makers from 78-83 ish..after that Gt started making the Robinson frames and then when Chuck Robinson died in '83 or 84 it coasted for a while before GT bought Robinson out, GT kept making them and kept the Robinson name.

I have *always* like the early Robinsons. Very rare down here in New Zealand. In fact, I've never seen on in real life.
