So here's the deal. A bunch of my MC buddies seem to thing that SQUID was originally a Motorcycle related term. I seem to recal that it came out of SoCal back in the day because of BMX. So, my question is, does anyone know for sure? Was it because of Squirrelly MX riders or Squirrelly BMX riders.
Oz, I thought you might be the authority on this one. Johnny? Hal, Bill, anyone?

I always thought that squid referred to a kid surfer. Squirrelly was definitely a term we used for an out of control rider.

A squid was a kid who barely raced, but was decked out in all the latest best stuff. A squirl was a kid who was lucky to make it around the track without crashing. My squid friend BITD raced 2 times on a borrowed bike then his parents got him a sweet chrome DG with flights & Phil's, man I was jealous.
