I think my favorite part on this bike is the forks. The dropouts are so different than most. The droputs are so long and have that weird slot that you slide the axle into. I will try to get a better pic tomorrow.

Spicoli, Tim would have passed on it anyway! The frame has been repaired and ball burnished. The original finish was under a nasty black rattle can paint job. It had some deep gouges that were repaired and a weld that was repaired too.

Absolutely beautiful.. but lose the flimsy cranks.. go single piece Takagi's or Astabulas like we did in 76! Could even go coaster brake for feet up corner slides.. Make it like I did to win the 76 #1 Pro title on one of these puppies.. LOL..
Sincerly.. a BEAUTIFUL build.. Congrats!

Is that red, 80s-era foam under that frame pad cover? tisk, tisk, that blows it for me.
But seriously folks, that is a beatiful build. I looked at the pix before I read the parts list and was bummed for a second about the bogus Finish Line grips--then realized they were Malcom Smith!!! so great. this bike is my favorite ever.
PS so much for my "there's really only one year for FMF" statement in that other post. OM, what are the actual dates of existence for the original Flying Machine Factory BMX Division?

I always liked the FMF bikes. The welds, anodizing, and the the history of FMF always seems to astonish me. Nice build. Gave me the goose bumps.
