I have a Boss cruiser frameset that I was told is a 26" but when I tried to put my 26x1.95 front wheel from my mountainbike on it....no go. I'm thinking that even with a 1.75 it would be REAL tight. It is from the mid nineties and has no brake mount on the fork but does have posts on the seat stays. I don't have 26" or 24" bmx wheels to tell for sure what size should be on there....any one know the exact dimensions of the Boss 26 and 24 inch cruisers? Help please....

On my Boss 26 it's 14.5 in from the bottom of the crown to the bottom of the drop outs. On the rear it's close to 15" from the end of the thingy behind the bottom bracket to the end of the rear dropouts. I run 1.75 mtn bike wheels and tires on mine.

Sorry for the non technical terms.

On the 26, top tube should be 21.5 inches, center to center. Chainstay should be about 16.5 from center of bb to center of dropout. Hope this helps.

OK, the frame sounds like a 26er but not sure about the fork...it measures 13.75 inches from the end of the dropout to the bottom of the steerer tube or 16inches from bottom of dropout to the bottom of the headset. I appreciate the replies...any other ideas on the fork?

Another question, how far(just to make sure on the frame) is the brake post mounted up the seat stays from the END of the rear dropout? thanks again for the help!

Ummm, not sure on that one, as I sold the bike about 8 years back. I do know that it was a rather tall fork, with about a two inch gap between the front tire and the bottom of the steerer tube ( with a 1.9 tire).

It was a tight fit with a 1.75 on my old 26" Boss.
