LMAO. Marchal's gates are so precise that if the starter makes a mistake he will flip. I'm willing to bet the starter made the mistake not Marchal. Did he lose any change when he hit the ground??
For the record: dogs hate the dark....hahahahaaha

Actually his gates started going bad at Southtowns about three weeks ago during a local race. The stars were aligned that evening and my gates were spot on, by the third moto after given him a run for the money in the first two I beat him in the third. He claimed he bumped the gate because he was trying to get the jump on me. Having such a awesome showing that day at the goat path had really nothing to do with the stars, it was due to this new book I got from DJ called "How To Win At BMX and LooK Sexy". I'd tell you guys where to buy this manual but can't remember the author's name DJ knows it ask him.

LMAO. I will have to get that book. The last one DJ recomended was "How to win BMX races wearing high top Air Jordans".
If you want to slow Marchal down buy him tons of drinks (preferably mountain dew) at the concession stand.
Goat path....too funny. All I can picture is that Geico ad. Are you gonna mow the track? Nah....
Are you going to fix the jumps? Nah....
Are you going to do anything? Nah Nah Nah......
I heard that the parking lot at Southtowns is dangerous.....

does Tom Murphy race out that way? That guy is k-w-i-k

Aug 30 2007, 12:11 PM
Southtowns is Tom's home track also. Great guy, really fast, kills the gate. The thing I like about Tom is he is always willing to help you out at the track with gates or whatever, very knowledgeable rider. I don't think the people running Southtowns realize what an asset he can be to have around the track, three weeks ago someone read him the riot act for showing up on race day to practice and then leaving before the motos start. The guy works and has a young family all he can fit in is a few practice gates what's the big deal?

Sounds like Southtowns hasn't changed much. I used to get in trouble all the time for that. Grab some practice and then they would make you sign up to race, even though I didn't have anyone in my class. The class would end up being 17 & Over Novice/Expert/Cruiser/125 and 250 class.
Do they still have the fight pit in the parking lot?? Someone got a major beat down there....

Last week I had no one to race with in mens cruiser but since I'm right behind Marchal in a tight points race I raced a girl cruiser rider. I hadn't been on my bike in two weeks so I needed the track time otherwise I would have left after practice and then would have repremended by the track director for doing so. I don't care what it takes to beat Marchal I want that Leap Points Champion hoodie and number one plaque with matching number plate, with those three I'll be almost as sexy as DJ. I must be number one! Anybody know where I can take some quick spin classes in Western, NY? DJ?
kjladd1
Sep 6 2007, 04:48 PM
One more thing, we can talk about Marchal all we want he has no computer or access to one. I think his dog has a laptop though!

Sep 6 2007, 06:01 PM
I know where you can take a underground spin class but you need to show up in full spandex!!! And for the record Dave's dog does own a laptop.

Sep 6 2007, 06:26 PM
too bad there aren't NBL tracks in or near Syracuse and Roch. Those + the western tracks could make a pretty decent state series.
I'll be hitting up our state championships in Catamount, VT next week. Then 2 weeks after that the regional in Woodward.

I would open a track, but ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i dont need to with the 2 open now,and the other one sneak-in-able..whaaa whaaa whaaaaaaa.
(puts feet up on desk) ahhh yeah, even if i am bleachers champion #1 right now, dont think i wont be winning practice real soon.
*update-in physical therapy, range of motion work, flexion work etc,the pain is real.

Andrew,
No pain, No Gain.
Guess who is going to be Fourty and Sporty on Tuesday? K. Ladd & Marchal better watch your backs. If you see a red Huffy 24" in lane 8 at Southtowns be warned that dude has MAD SKILLS.

I used to race there alot. I from Fredonia and raced at Erie, Jamestown, Warren, Hamburg , Titusville and of course the CANAM with the EBA. I raced against Billy,Kevin and Joe Robins, Darren Lord, Todd Pitts, Donny Beals, Ken Amen, Shane Daniels, the list goes on. Anybody remember them? If anybody has more info on the EBA reunion, please post it. I've lived in Florida since 1987 but will be moving back to NY soon. I am also an avid old school collector, I will be showing them off at the local tracks. It's nice to here old stories from up there, I miss NY alot. Can't wait to back.

Cool-I'm from NE of you and raced in the eba for many years as well and moved to Colorado in 87. I love going back there, but to be honest, there's no way I'd move back-winters (upstate) are way too hard. When you say CANAM, are you talking about the Niagra Falls, or the seemingly unknown eba track Lafargeville/canam speedway? Also, my good friend who raced with me lives in the Tampa area for sometime, too. Jon
