Jack B. Nimble, what, nimble, and he was quick,

TriCity is in Rotterdam, Cheryl Lindsay is in Binghamton, CNY is in Bridgewater (20 min. south of Utica) They are all NBL.
I think everyone is waiting for Headrush to build the indoor track in Syracuse. Syracuse needs a track, they are centrally located so you'd think they'd have a decent draw.

The picture looks like it's from Presque Isle in Pa. taken from the backside of turn one. The tower between the starting hill and finish line is exactly the same way today.
whitey
May 10 2007, 08:21 PM
Good call........that is Presque Isle. I think I raced a Regional there in 1998.
It had a long first straight with a big triple near the end. If you boomed the triple you had mad speed for the small first turn. I remember railing the corner hoping I wouldn't fall off....

May 11 2007, 02:15 PM
Hmm, I don't remember ever going to Presque Isle. That's me in the pic though. I went on that trip with Goracy and Pavlot. Remember when EBA had the Challenge cups, didn't they run them on weekends at two different tracks that were close to each other? I know one of the tracks was Titusville. As I look at the pics in this package there are 2 different tracks we were at. Wasn't there another EBA track down there?

OK, is this one Titusville?

Billy Robins

Ray Goracy, forgot the other guys name

another view of the track

Mr. Hipwell? I think we stayed at there house down there.

That's Evan (T-Bear) with Ray. And that is Titusville, PA. I always liked that track until DJ layed the smack down from Lane 8. hahaha
Those were some good times. By the way nice wife-beater Billy.....hahahahha

They still have that giant roller on the first straight at Titusville. The nice thing about the Pa. tracks is they all seem to be maintained nicely.

August is what I heard too. We will have to show up a couple days before to build DJ's track and hit the Canadien ballet.
I need to start training so I can win the standup wheelie contest and high speed manualing contest. I know I have the long jump off a block of wood locked up.

Pavlot brought over his pics. Many are waterlogged and ruined, but there are some keepers in there.
This could get ugly... Vuarnet glasses, sweatshirts tied around the neck, half T shirts, tight jeans, lines shaved in the sides of the head and mullets. I won't mention any names - yet. Ahhh yeah, got to love the 80s.
This should probably broken out into a separate EBA thread.

I just came back from the Roch with a box of pictures. Let's just say I have some good stuff on some people....so be nice to me.
I have to agree with Durg, alot of mullets and tight jeans. The rest of you look funny too....hahaha
I will start to post soon.
Tim - if we are talking full on sprint to manual I'm gonna win. I have great balance at high speeds. If we are talking about normal everyday manuals, I'm out. But watch out for Jim he still has all the skills. Sit down wheelie contest: I would also put my money on Superfly or the kid in Chicago who beat Craig Reynolds, and as far as we know is still going....
Oh yeah, got my Country Sweet on! 20 piece hot....

I have to say...it was people like:
Jim Williams, Joe Robins, and Ken Aman
that really inspired a lot of people to race BMX.
Not just because they were such great riders, but such great people!

Jud,
You should be able to set up a free account on Photobucket.com. Once you do this, you simply cut the URL from photobucket and then paste the URL of the picture into the vintage thread. It is pretty easy. Good luck.
